ClearMe is an AI-powered skincare companion app designed to help users better understand and care for their skin with confidence. Through face scanning, ingredient analysis, and personalised skincare insights, the app provides tailored recommendations based on individual skin concerns, products, and routines. The goal was to create a calmer, more approachable skincare experience that simplifies decision-making and helps users feel more informed about their skin.

Early sketches and wireframes focused on simplifying the journey between skin scanning, ingredient analysis, and personalised recommendations. I explored ways to reduce visual clutter and create a lightweight experience that felt guided and easy to navigate, particularly for users who may feel overwhelmed by complex skincare routines or conflicting advice online.

Users wanted clearer guidance and trustworthy recommendations.
The visual direction for ClearMe was inspired by modern skincare and wellness brands, using warm neutral tones, rounded cards, soft shadows, and clean typography to create a calm and supportive experience. Decorative typography was used selectively during interaction moments such as scanning and confirmation states, while consistent spacing and card systems helped maintain clarity across the app.
DESIGN DECISIONS
The final product combines AI skin analysis, ingredient scanning, personalised recommendations, and optional dermatologist support into a cohesive skincare experience designed to feel approachable and easy to understand. Through user testing and iteration, the project helped strengthen my understanding of visual hierarchy, interaction design, and creating emotionally supportive digital experiences.
